Feline manual

Intro

FELINE is a powerful, flexible fuzz. Utilizing an amp-style two-band EQ and several voicing switches, FELINE is capable of myriad fuzz and overdrive sounds. Loud enough to be used as a standalone preamp, FELINE is capable of driving a poweramp.

FELINE is handcrafted in Seattle, WA.

Operation

The controls on FELINE are very interactive and interdependent. Changing one control setting will affect  the function of the other controls.

Fuzz

Controls overall gain.

Bass & Treble

Passive EQ controls. Due to the nature of the circuit, changes made to these controls not only affect overall frequency response, but also the gain structure and character of FELINE.

Volume

Controls overall output level.

Mids

Switches between scooped or pushed midrange.

Super

Enables or disables an analog octave doubling circuit.

Presence

Extreme high-frequency boost. Works independently of other EQ controls.

In

¼” mono input jack.

Out

¼” mono output jack.

9V

Power input jack. Industry standard center-negative 2.1mm barrel plug. DC9V ONLY. Do not attempt to run at higher voltages. FELINE only requires a few mA of current to run. We recommend using only high-quality isolated power supplies designed for effects pedals, and to avoid daisy-chaining effects for quietest operation.

Power

LED status indicator. When lit, FELINE is active. When not lit, Feline is bypassed. FELINE features true-bypass switching.

Note

FELINE may self-oscillate at extreme settings. Backing off EQ or FUZZ controls may mitigate this.
